We visited Harpers Ferry in West Virginia. This area is close to the borders of three states and was strategically significant in the civil war. This area is now managed by the national parks service and is surprisingly cool. It had a great mix of history, tourist attraction and natural wonder. There is a nice work out climbing the hills and it is really well managed.
In addition, I enjoyed driving in West Virginia, it has lovely roads, great natural wonders and a cool vibe.
I would recommend a visit to West Virginia for history or hiking buffs or anyone looking for a relaxing weekend.
I would rate it 8.1 out of ten.
