Utah’s state bird is the California seagull

Does anyone else find this weird? I mean, not only is Utah nowhere near the sea – why would you adopt a bird with another states name in the title?

Utah is actually cooler than you would think. Lots of adventure type activities and awesome views.

My total score for Utah out of 50 is 35.

  1. It has something to do with the strong Mormon heritage in the state. I don’t remember the exact story but the seagull was critical or some type of symbol to the settlers.
