Day 60 – La Posada

Staying at the La Posada in Winslow Arizona. The La Posada originally opened in 1930 and operated as a hotel for 27 years. The hotel fell into disrepair until being restored in the late 90s and reopened as a hotel. The hotel is located a couple of blocks from the corner.

The hotel houses a trading post, book shop, museum and art gallery. It is a tourist attraction in its own right, with many people coming to visit, even if they are not staying here.

La Posada is also home to the Turquoise room, which is one of the best restaurants in Winslow and on Route 66.
