Goodbye to the land of … Pandas?

On the way to Atlanta I saw a number plate from Georgia with a panda on it- why would Georgia have a panda on their number plate? We decided that more than likely it was a special promotion for say the WWF I then saw an ad for a cabinet maker called Georgia panda. We were looking for something to do in Georgia and I said that it seems like the state of the panda – if there is a Panda Express we will eat there. And lo … A Panda Express appeared!

My total score for Georgia out of 50 is 25.

Categories out of 10

Home comforts Quality of food, accommodation, etc. Score of 7. Really nice hotel for price, becoming quite fond of Marriotts. Food was pretty good, but nothing thrilling.

Attractions The quality of the attractions and generally how fun and interesting they were. Score of 3. Surprisingly little to do in Atlanta and those that exist have surprising poor reviews. Read the negative reviews for World of Coca Cola for example.

Natural Beauty The aesthetic vistas of the state which make the drive easier. Score of 5. Fairly good highways, not heaps to look at.

Culture Historical and cultural sites and interactions with the locals. Score of 4. Lovely, friendly people but not a lot of sites to look at in what is actually quite an historic state.

Value Financial value – bang for your buck, so to speak. Score of 6. Good value on hotel – other stuff about average.
