South Carolina designated the peach as official state fruit in 1984. South Carolina is the nation’s leading peach producer and shipper east of the Mississippi River. However, Georgia designated the peach as the official state fruit in 1995 ad is known as “The Peach State” because of its reputation for producing the highest quality fruit. Seems like Georgia is trying to rob South Carolina of its rightful state owner of peaches! They were first!
My total score for South Carolina out of 50 is 27.
