I accept this review of New Jersey and Delaware is a but biased by constantly seeing the same 10 miles of road or so in New Jersey, however these ratings are of my experience so …
My total score for NEw Jersey and Delaware out of 50 is 22.
Categories out of 10
Home comforts Quality of food, accommodation, etc. Score of 4. Lots of Vegas style hotels in Atlantic City without the Vegas fun. I did, however, see all you can eat Pizza Hut advertised for $5 during the week. That does seem like a good deal.
Attractions The quality of the attractions and generally how fun and interesting they were. Score of 4. Limited attractions at present, may improve when the damage from Sandy is fixed up. Again, Vegas gambling without as much Vegas fun.
Natural Beauty The aesthetic vistas of the state which make the drive easier. Score of 4. Even the cities look a little tired. Not fun to drive in.
Culture Historical and cultural sites and interactions with the locals. Score of 5. Both states were part of the original colonies, and in fact Delaware was the first state. Both states have some interesting sites related to key American history, however not as much as some of the surrounding states.
Value Financial value – bang for your buck, so to speak. Score of 5. Costs are pretty affordable.
