Day 7 – Orientation

Had to orient ourselves to driving around the US and remembered that the streets can be a bit confusing. It seems like every street in Portland, Maine is either a one way street, or has roadworks on it. So we went to Best Buy and bought an affordable GPS. Didn’t need one so much in Australia but we realised it will be a huge help in the US with so many new places. Now I quite like the grouchy GPS lady yelling at me to turn right.

Also visited the International Cryptozoology Museum which is a small museum located in downtown Portland Maine. The museum has lots of exhibits about cryptozoology mysteries such as Bigfoot and the Lock Ness Monster. In particular there are lots of modernish toys which show the use of these creatures in popular culture.
